The Glassblowers of Manitou is filled with unique hand made glass art work, the air floating with lovely figures hanging from the ceiling, and the shelves lined with glass figures from roses to hummingbirds. Each piece is one of a kind. The work is delicate and beautiful. The Pastuer family has owned and operated the business that has been at the base of Pikes Peak for 50 years creating quality hand crafted glass gifts.  Their gift ideas are something different and unique, a true treasure.

The glass artisan can be found on site most days creating new pieces. What a rare attraction to watch a glass artisan behind the heat shield with a tube of glass and torch creating an amazing piece of art.  The glass is heated gently and slowly, to prevent cracking, to the molten state, the glass, using tools and hand movements, is shaped.  The glass figure must be fired in a kiln at an even temperature the slowly cooled to prevent cracking. It is cleaned and shined a ready for someone special.
