I highly recommend seeing a show at the Fulton Theater in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
If you are in Lancaster, be sure to check out what’s playing. It is the oldest continuously operating theater in the US. The “Grand Old Lady of Prince Street” has been open since 1852 –and is a treasure of the community. In 1995, an extensive multimillion renovation was done to the historic building which really spruced this grand old gal up, making her even more inviting and entertaining that she already was!
The theater has its own charm — utilizing local talent to Broadway talent. With a talented director, the cast is first rate and their productions are professional. The décor of the theater is worth the price of admission just to see the grandeur of the “good old days” brought to life in a modern setting.
Ticket prices range from $20 to $65. Prices vary based on the day of performance and seating location.
From the Author: This is an antique gem in Lancaster city. There are nice little cafes within walking distance for coffee or sandwiches. There is limited street parking; however an open parking lot is across the street opposite the theater. There is also a garage on the corner of Prince St. and Orange St. within easy walking distance.
