It’s hard to find decent Asian food in the heart of the south, sometimes, but look no further! Fire Street Food’s take on Asian-fusion American contemporary food will dash away any doubts you may have. The atmosphere of this fine establishment reeks of color, opportunity, and creativity; it’s hard to guess that Fire Street serves primarily Asian food. The neo-modern décor- hanging lights, bright orange seats, subtle blues and greens- throughout the restaurant give it the sort of flare it needs to really grow into it’s name and offer the diner a chance to ponder as they wait. Everything on the menu from various flavors of bubble tea, to authentic curry with braised duck and roasted potato, hand-rolled sushi, seasoned edamame, burgers and sandwiches, is all made fresh that day and the portions are very generous. The sushi rolls especially are wonderful and eclectic in both presentation and style (this writers favorite happens to be the Oglethorpe Roll with asparagus, creamy avocado, arugula , and cucumber). YUM. Their signature bubble teas ( a cold drink with large tapioca beads) are also a delightful treat when you’re looking for a cool drink as you walk through the historic district. From Strawberry, to Thai Tea, Pina Colada, Raspberry and many more there is definitely a bubble tea for everyone to enjoy!
