The Duluth Children’s Museum is the fifth oldest children’s museum in the nation and was established in 1930 in Duluth Minnesota. In 2009 the museum located to its new location after the Duluth Malt and Brewing Company building was purchased and is now the home of the museum. The recent and ongoing renovation will culminate in a 28,000 square foot exploration center for children and adults.

The Duluth Children’s Museum has over 15,000 items in its possession including dolls, doll clothing, toys and games, fine arts, textiles, jewelry, glassware, Native American objects, armor and weaponry and more. A prize possession of the museum is a clay tablet dating back to 2000 B.C. coming from Babylon.

The Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit opens May 3, 2014 and runs through September 1, 2014. Life-like animated dinosaurs will be on display along with real and replicated fossils. The prehistoric exhibit will be delightful for children and adults of all ages. The Nano exhibit is the newest exhibit at the Duluth Children’s Museum and explores a world that you can’t see! The 400 square foot exhibit explores the tiny world of Nano. You are able to listen, look, touch and explore this wonderful learning experience.

Membership at the museum offers guests free admission to the Duluth Children’s Museum, a newsletter, 15% off at their gift shop, discounts for birthday programs, invitations to exhibit openings, and reduced admission for children’s museums all over the country.
