The Confluence Bike Trail of Southern Illinois is a nearly 23-mile asphalt trail beginning at Russell Commons Park in Alton and extending south to Granite City.

The trail runs adjacent to Melvin Price Locks and Dam #26, the National Great Rivers Museum, and the Lewis and Clark Interpretation Center, all of which are popular visitor attractions.

One of the Madison County Transit Trails, the Confluence Bike Trail provides free, family-friendly, and recreational transportation through one of the most historic areas in the state. Boasting spectacular views of the Mighty Mississippi, Confluence Bike Trail is one of the most scenic trails in the Riverbend area. Enjoy 22.9 miles of captivating views of area landmarks, including the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower, the Clark Bridge, and downtown Alton. Just steps off the trail are a number of places of interest, such as the National Great Rivers Museum and Lewis & Clark State Historic Site and Interpretive Center.
