Having relocated from New York to Nantucket to open a country inn many years ago the founder eventually followed her passion for traditional rug hooking and needle arts and built a brand now nationally and internationally known for quality craftsmanship and unique design. Claire Murray’s empire now encompasses 13 retail stores, a thriving mail order business, and manufacturing facilities around the world.

Regardless of her international recognition, entering the Claire Murray storefront in West Barnstable is like walking into a one-of-a-kind home goods shop staffed by knowledgeable locals and passionate crafters. Offering classes in needlepoint, cross  stitch, rug hooking, sailor’s valentines, and more, her retail offerings now include dinnerware, stoneware, bedding, throws, placemats, handbags, loungeware, and more. Open 7 days a week, Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from Noon to 4 PM.
