The Citizen Burger Bar owners’ creed for their burger is that there are certain freedoms that should be held dear.  The enjoyment of a great burger is one that they promote very successfully.  They teamed up with local farms and bakery to provide burgers that are straightforward and delicious.  Everything is kept very simple – from the ingredients (no hormones, nothing artificial) to the menu.  What is not simple is the taste of their burgers!

We highly recommend the Citizen Burger – 1/2 pound of Timbercreek Farm’s grass-fed beef, McClure Swiss cheesed from Mountainview Farm, black onion, rosemary aioli, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun from Albemarle Baking Company – all topped with a fried dill pickle.  The burgers are served with some of the best fries in town – crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle.  Just the way we like them!

Of course if you don’t like burgers there are cheese sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, a vegan “burger” and a lobster club.

And don’t forget the beer assortment to choose from to have with your burger.  At the Citizen Burger Bar you can choose either bottled or draft from a selection of over 100 beers and ciders.

The atmosphere in the restaurant, at the bar or in the outside dining area makes you feel like kicking back and enjoying your burger and brew.
