Carla Stahl, the owner, saw the same bright promise in this lovely old home, Circa 1885 and showered it with her love of antiques and decorating culminating in the creation of a place of beauty. More importantly though, it conveys a feeling of harmony, relaxation, friendship, beauty and creativity enjoyed by all who pass through the door.
Located in this tranquil location, clients can enjoy salon services of all kinds from color to cut carefully honed into perfection by Carla’s well experienced staff. Everyone working there has a displayed picture bio online so clients can find the specific qualifications for their very personal hair/color requirements.
Hair is not the only game in town at Chestnut Hill Salon & Spa. Relaxation is more than environmental here – it’s an applied science. Facials, massage therapy, body polish and the “I just can’t reach that area of my body effectively”-The Back. Is there a woman breathing that doesn’t enjoy their back tended to?

From the Author: I have lived in Asheville since 1999 and our job as innkeepers in a demanding one. It is such a fine, relaxing moment to enter the front door of Chestnut Hill Salon & Spa. Visually, it is simultaneously both a relaxing and energized atmosphere. Part of my job is to tend to my guests environment creating a restful and beautiful experience for them. So, it should prove no surprise that I would take note of it when I find myself in such a well tended and perfectly pretty place. The whole atmosphere is one of welcome, beauty and purposeful efforts to please. Carla Stahl, the owner, is happy to offer you tea, refreshments, a sincere smile and also- should you enjoy seeing historic properties- a tour of this fine historic structure's renovation. Like my own inn, the likes of these old, fabled homes, given new life by those who love them, will never come this way again.
