Known for it’s amazing sunset views and over-sized portions, the Chart Room in Cataumet (a village of the town of Bourne) is one of the best secrets of living on the Upper Cape.  Located down a winding residential road with a marina at the end, the Chart Room is well worth using the GPS to locate.  Many travelers would never know this wonderful summer-only spot was here, but the locals know about it as it’s packed in summer!

Many Cape Cod families call in spring and make reservations for every Saturday night all summer long — if they can’t go, they share the reservation with friends.  A piano bar near the entrance often has singers playing familiar American songs while kids frolic on the grassy area near the marina and their parents enjoy a cocktail at the end of a beach day looking out over the water.

Especially great at sunset, you will never forget a Cape Cod evening at the Chart Room.  You can also wander out onto the docks and see the boats tied up, usually also full of summer revelers enjoying the Caribbean-like weather of Cape Cod summer.
