Description:
This famous pirate bar is on Water Street, right next to the drawbridge in Woods Hole. Recently renovated, the Captain Kidd is known for waterfront dining with many tables on the marina (called “Eel Pond”), with some seats out on a dock for the perfect summer dining al fresco. Food is well priced and delicious with options including boiled lobster, a full raw bar, great salads (try the new Kale- yum) and fresh summer cocktails.
The Captain Kidd’s iconic bar is anchored by a 1930’s era mural depicting the travails of the famous local pirate. The old mahogany bar gleams with brass and marble, and the whole feeling brings you back to another era. Large screen TV’s are in convenient locations for watching the game, and the Captain Kidd sports 12 beers on tap and an extensive wine list.
The Captain Kidd is open year round, and often hosts private parties and events in the off season. In summer, this great Woods Hole destination hums with activity — kids enjoying the kids menu, families out for a summer reunion and couples catching the romantic sunset over the water. When you visit Cape Cod, don’t miss out on a meal at the Captain Kidd.
