Offering scenic rail excursions, a gourmet lunch train, family supper train, Sunday Brunch trip, and elegant evening dinner train, the Cape Cod Central Railroad is perhaps one of the most iconic tourist attractions this side of the canal.

A trip down memory lane for train aficionados, you can sense the excitement of “Thomas the Train” fans as the conductor yells “All Aboard” and the whistle signals the imminent departure of a journey that will traverse cranberry bogs, salt marshes, wooded landscapes, and travel briefly along the Cape Cod Canal on a two-hour tour. Fully narrated by an on-board host, the train has been recognized as one of the “top ten” scenic train rides in the country.

Visitors can embark for the scenic rail trip at the Hyannis station on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and at the historic West Barnstable station on Saturdays only. Dinner trains run on Thursdays and Saturdays, brunch on Sundays, lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesday. Service operates seasonally from mid-June to mid-October.
