As if there were not enough to do in Williamsburg Virginia with the many historic attractions folks typically come for, Busch Gardens Williamsburg offers  a nearly 400 acre park which  has been amusing folks for 37 years now with a European theme. Filled with daring roller coasters along side animal rehabilitation attractions and restaurants this park has been voted the worlds most beautiful theme park some 22 + years in a row. You should check the parks web site for days and times the park is open as they do change from time to time.

A little known fact is that Busch Gardens offers a kennel service if you bring a pet. You can not bring pets into the park but they, for a fee, will kennel Fido and offer him water and company while you spend your day in the park. They will not however feed them,  you will be responsible to bring food and feed your own pet.

The park offers guest opportunities from March through  October for shows, concerts, rides and festivals and then reopens from Thanksgiving until Christmas re-named “Christmas Town” where the park transforms into Christmas villages with falling snow,  hundreds of Christmas trees lite up with millions of lights and Christmas music throughout the park where you will find hot apple cider and hot chocolate for sale in the various kiosks. There are wonderful markets with wares from local artisans, Penguin & Clydesdale exhibits and be sure to make it to  “A Sesame Street Christmas” if you have little ones.  The fifth season of this wonderful transformation will begin on November 22nd 2013.
