This 1860 Plantation house and five modern cottages offer a glimpse of antebellum elegance without compromising the comfort and well-being of its guests. Spacious rooms and suites with en-suite modern bathrooms and working fireplaces ensure a comfortable, relaxing and romantic stay.

The days at the award-winning Brampton Bed and Breakfast start with early morning coffee and tea and a freshly prepare, à-la-carte breakfast served in the dining room, on the wrap-around porch or delivered to the cottages. During the growing season organic fruit and vegetables are used from the inn’s garden. The civilized custom of afternoon tea is followed daily from four till five.

The menu changes daily and special dietary needs are accommodated.

The inn is located on 20 landscaped acres a stone’s throw from the historic waterfront town of Chestertown, Maryland.

Less than a mile from the B&B one can find exquisite restaurants, the historic district with its small stores, galleries and theater. Chestertown is the home of Washington College, founded in 1782. It is the 10^th oldest institution of higher learning in the United States and originally endowed by George Washington.

Brampton Bed and Breakfast Inn is ideally located to explore the many treasures of Maryland’s Upper Eastern Shore. Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge and Rock Hall are 15 minutes from the inn. Annapolis, Easton, St. Michael’s and Oxford are all within an hour’s drive.
