Eating at Boehringer’s is like stepping back in time, SERIOUSLY!  There’s a community-gathering atmosphere that you don’t see much any more, the food is great and the prices are definitely a throw-back (VERY low!).  Boehringer’s is closed for the winter, so everyone eagerly awaits opening day in the spring which typically coincides with the opening day of trout fishing!  During the spring, summer and fall seasons they’re open from 11 am – 9 pm Tuesday – Sunday, closed Mondays.

The first thing you’ll notice when you show up to Boehringer’s is the line… there WILL be one coming out the doors on BOTH sides of the building, this place is just that popular.   Customers place their order, then step back and wait along the front window for their food to be made to order (one of the reasons it tastes so good!).  There is no indoor seating, but there are a bunch of picnic tables along a creek that runs behind the building, where you can enjoy your food while watching kids skip rocks or feed the ducks.

The menu includes a variety of hot dogs, sandwiches and burgers, plus really delicious crispy french fries… or you could buy a bag of locally made potato chips if you prefer.

And a trip to Boehringer’s wouldn’t be complete without trying the ice cream.  They serve delicious milk shakes, sundaes and cones, all made from HOMEMADE ice cream!  And luckily for the locals, all the flavors come in half gallons you can take home as well!
