Black Walnut Winery is the result of four friends following their passion!  Starting out making wine in their own home, their wine-making operation grew to the point where the only way to “get their home back” was to set up a “real” winery!  So they bought an old stone bank-barn, did some extensive renovations ON THEIR OWN, and voila, another great PA Winery was born!

Black Walnut has produced nearly 2 dozen wines… a few of them have sold out, leaving visitors with 18 Whites, Reds, Ports and Seasonal wines they can taste and buy.  They range in price from $15 – $45/bottle, with the majority falling into the $25 range (give or take).

The Winery is set in a wonderful, historic stone building that’s been beautifully restored to a comfortable, cozy space with great character.  Built into a hillside (it’s a “bank barn), there’s a 2nd story deck off the back of the barn that overlooks the grounds below.  You’re even allowed to bring your own food with you, so I highly recommend bringing a basket of meats, cheeses and crackers with you… buy a couple bottles of your favorite wine(s), and enjoy an incredible afternoon with friends!
