If you’re looking for small town charm, make a stop at Back in the Kitchen, Amenia’s little bakery/lunch shop that sits in the center of Main Street in a three-story brick building that looks like it belongs on a street in Williamsburg Brooklyn rather than the small town of Amenia, NY.  The exposed brick walls and bead board paneling add to the charm and feel of this quaint little bakery.

Try any of their delicious baked goods, like cinnamon donuts, scones, muffins and different varieties of freshly baked goods or order a hot breakfast sandwich.  Having Lunch? Try the kale salad or a classic sandwich like grilled cheese, BLT with roasted tomato, flank steak with caramelized onion and arugula on ciabatta bread or choose from one of their daily homemade soups. Plenty of hot and cold drinks to choose from too. You’re bound to find something that will hit the spot!
