Are you interested in enjoying time on the water while you learn your way around Casco Bay, about local history, doing a bit of lobstering and see all kinds of seals, bald eagles, and maybe porpoises and whales? Then, Captain Tom Ring and his 40’ converted lobster boat are just the ticket!

A Freeport native, Captain Ring (a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy and professional commercial tug captain) offers several different cruises from the Town Dock at Harraseeket Harbor, right in front of Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster.

Twice daily, from 9:30AM – 12:30PM, then 1:30PM – 4:30PM, he takes his guests out through Casco Bay to Eagle Island, visiting Arctic explorer Admiral Peary’s former home, now a museum. On the way, he picks up a few lobster traps, and is great at sharing his enthusiasm for the harbor islands and local history.

On Thursdays, he takes his guests out to Seguin Island Light (the second oldest and highest light on the Maine coast), and most evenings does a seal & osprey cruise between 6:00p and 8:30p in the evening. No better way to take in a Maine summer evening!

He loves doing charters, whatever your interests, and takes “Foliage Cruises” in the Fall. Captain Ring is as entertaining, knowledgeable and interesting a charter operator as you will find, and the cost of a trip is very modest! Call for reservations!
