Entering their forth year, proprietors Chris Getman and Joe Freitas have transformed the market into a bright, open space. Looks are deceiving though, 141 has more than enough products for your visit here – whether you have a mini fridge or full-sized kitchen. Forgot your vitamins at home? A wall of supplements, dietary herbs, and homeopathic remedies are available as well. The produce is entirely organic, with an emphasis on local fruits and vegetables whenever possible.

The best part of the store may be the hot bar, which features curry dishes, sautéed organic kale, and eggs benedict (for Sunday brunch), amongst other healthy but savory dishes when you want healthy food on-the-go. If you are in no rush to go to the beach, there are also tables for eating and conversing – giving this space a real community feel. There is also a 100% organic juice and smoothie bar – try the Belly Better smoothie (kefir, banana, blueberries, cinnamon, and agave) if you ate one too many fries the night before.

For those with a sweet tooth, don’t hesitate to try the vegan peanut butter chocolate whoopie pies, or the gluten-free cheesecake with raspberry drizzle. These desserts plus other treats are all made in-house. Kale salads and Thai tofu wraps are just some of the delicious prepared items available when you want to catch the last light of day at Herring Cove or people watch from Provincetown’s famous benches by Town Hall.
